Festival season is upon us and coming up this weekend is the one-day music festival JMBLYA. This year JMBLYA will be in Austin on Saturday, May 5 at Circuit of the Americas. Gates will open at 1pm, be there early to get in faster. If you don’t have tickets yet, a limited number are still available at JMBLYA.com starting at $99.
In the past JMBLYA has hosted chart topping performers such as Future, Rae Sremmurd, Travis Scott, and Kevin Gates and this year will not disappoint. This year’s JMBLYA will feature 11 of the hottest trap, EDM, hip-hop, rap and R&B artists, including headliners Chance the Rapper and Migos. Here’s the full lineup:
Chance the Rapper
Lil Uzi Vert
Snow Tha Product

If you’re going to a music festival anywhere in Texas during this time of year, this is of the utmost importance. The last thing you want to do is pass out during your favorite act. Make sure you bring a factory sealed or empty reusable water bottle.
What to Wear
Comfortable shoes are a must. I have never had a good experience wearing sandals to a music festival. You need to wear shoes that you will be comfortable standing and walking around in all day. If your Tevas do that for you, then more power to you but I would definitely avoid wearing flip-flops. The same goes for clothing. It is Texas in May; dress accordingly with comfortable and breathable fabrics.
Have a Game Plan
Prioritize acts and know the set times. Plan to be at the stage early to get a good viewing spot for your favorite acts. Find set times here.
Check Out New Artists
We are all excited to see Chance the Rapper, Migos, and Steve Aoki but there are plenty of great up and coming artists on the lineup, so if you see some names you don’t recognize make a point of checking them out. I am particularly looking forward to 6LACk and Snow Tha Product, a Dallas native, so check them out if you haven’t already. Try to see at least one or two artists you have never heard before. You might find your new favorite artist.
The real reason we are all going is to listen to some good music and have a good time, so live in the moment, enjoy the music, make friends and have the best experience possible! We are also expecting some great food vendors such as Southside Flying Pizza and Shwarma Point so bring your appetites!
